SARASOTA, Fla. — FleetForce Truck Driver Training is announcing the national expansion of its workforce development operations alongside a new strategic partnerships program designed to deliver FMCSA-compliant Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) directly onsite at private fleet and carrier facilities.
“We are not going to solve a more than 200,000-driver shortfall by competing for the same shrinking pool of licensed drivers,” said Tra Williams, CEO of FleetForce. “The only sustainable solution is to create the next generation of drivers. Through our Strategic Partnerships Initiative, we are bringing FMCSA-compliant training directly to private fleets so they can upskill their own team members and build long-term workforce stability.”
Building on Existing Network
The expansion builds on FleetForce’s existing network of a dozen training locations across Florida and partnerships with two community colleges in Texas. The company has six additional Texas college partnerships in development and will begin training programs with colleges in Alabama and North Carolina starting in the second quarter of this year.
FleetForce’s growth comes as reports from the American Trucking Associations highlight there are approximately 1,200 truck drivers who retire each week in the United States, while more than 200,000 CDL jobs remain open nationwide. Through its program, FleetForce expects to train more than 3,000 commercial drivers this year, including offering direct opportunities for private fleets and carriers to develop drivers within their existing workforce, according to Fleetforce
Empowering Drivers
“At its core, FleetForce is a workforce development company,” Williams said. “Our mission is simple: empower drivers, strengthen companies and build communities. If we are serious about solving the driver shortage, we have to grow the workforce together.”
FleetForce’s onsite training model is designed to scale nationally and provide compliant, high-quality CDL training directly where employers operate. It deploys instructors, curriculum and compliance infrastructure directly to employer facilities, eliminating travel requirements and minimizing operational disruption, according to FleetForce.
