For the first time in several weeks, the national average price of diesel has fallen.
According to the US Energy Information Administration, the average price for a gallon of diesel fell nationally from $5.643 to $5.608.
According to an Associated Press report on Tuesday morning, April 14, oil prices continued to pull back on Tuesday from earlier gains. Brent crude, the international standard, was down 0.4% to $98.93 per barrel. It reached nearly $104 early Monday morning over Iran war worries on limited progress from the weekend ceasefire talks.
Seven regions showed decline in its price per gallon, a few showed double-digit drops.
The largest decline came from the West Coast less California which dropped by just over 18 cents per gallon from $6.366 to $6.183. The Rocky Mountain Region fell by just over 15 cents per gallon from $5.412 to $5.256.
The Midwest was the highest riser at nearly eight cents per gallon from $5.304 to $5.382.
