TROY, Mich. — Sasha Rauth, a former employee at a technology-driven third-party freight brokerage company, is launching a new company focused on solving one of trucking’s most overlooked daily challenges: access to bathrooms while on the road.
Her new product, Sasha’s Road Relief, is a disposable emergency urine bag designed specifically for truck drivers who are stuck in traffic, delayed at shipping facilities or traveling in areas with limited restroom access.
“I watched drivers deal with impossible schedules, long wait times, and facilities that often don’t even allow them access to a restroom,” Rauth said. “Truck drivers keep the country moving, yet many struggle with basic human needs while doing one of the hardest jobs in America.
While working in freight logistics managing loads for customers between shippers and receivers, Rauth says she saw firsthand the pressures and frustrations drivers face every day.
Addressing the Lack of Safe Bathroom Access for Truckers
Rauth says bathroom delays can create a chain reaction of operational, stress and financial problems for drivers.
“When drivers are forced to stop unexpectedly because there are no restroom options available, it can contribute to missed appointment times, late delivery penalties and unnecessary stress,” Rauth said. “A small delay in trucking can quickly turn into a costly problem.”
The idea for the company was also inspired by her grandmother, who owned and operated a successful garbage and trucking company.
“My grandmother built a business in trucking during a time when very few women did,” Rauth said. “Seeing her determination gave me the confidence to believe that if she could do it, so could I.”
Sasha’s Road Relief
Sasha’s Road Relief features a leak-resistant design, absorbent material, odor-reducing technology, and a compact shape designed to fit easily inside a truck cab. The product is targeted toward long-haul drivers, local drivers and owner-operators looking for practical solutions during long hours on the road.
Rauth says the company’s mission is simple: create products that genuinely improve drivers’ daily lives.
“This business wasn’t created in a boardroom,” Rauth said. “It came from listening to drivers and seeing their reality every day.”
