Indiana State Police (ISP) reported an inspection of a big rig led to an arrest.

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police (ISP) reported an inspection of a big rig led to an arrest.

The incident occurred on Friday night, March 6, at approximately 7:10 p.m. An ISP trooper was working on Interstate 70 near the 7-mile marker when he observed a semi truck that was exceeding the posted speed limit, traveling 80 mph in a 60 mph zone.

ISP stopped the truck, driven by Alex Brown, 33, of Killeen, Texas. ISP stated that suspicious activity was immediately detected. Additionally, West Terre Haute Police was contacted and a free air sniff was conducted by a K-9, prompting a search of the vehicle by ISP. • Weapon in Possession of a Violent Felon, Felony 4
