GLENDALE, Ariz. — Last week presented an interesting challenge to law enforcement in Arizona.

According to a Facebook post by the Arizona Highway Patrol (AZHP), on June 10, Highway Patrol State Troopers responded to a collision involving a truck that struck an overpass.

Police say a large commercial vehicle crane was driving with the crane in the upright position. The crane hit the overpass for 83rd Avenue and overturned on the roadway. “Thankfully, no one was injured,” AZHP stated. “This incident serves as a critical reminder to always confirm your equipment is in the proper travel position before moving your vehicle. Verify your total vehicle height against all upcoming bridges and overpass clearances.”

“Cranes are not meant to high-five overpasses,” AZHP added.

There was no word on any injuries to the driver.
